Seriously, wow, couldn't get too much done without any power. I did, however, get to spend a few days reading by the light of a candle. Pretty cool, actually. Reminded me of what our ancestors used to do. Also reminded me of how boring life could be once that book is finished!

But, with bad comes good. It made for a creepy shadow show on the wall. Now, if only those shadows could come to life . . .

Speaking of coming to life, Second Coming is coming to life. It's in the hands of the Editor as I type this, getting marked up by that infamous red pen we dreaded from our school days. Back then we thought that red pen was evil . . . now I know better--it was only trying to help :P

I'm also in the process of writing a screenplay for a short movie trailer, which I will post on the Second Coming page, as well as on YouTube and Facebook. I was against the idea at first because I feel that when dealing with books characters should first be viewed in the mind and not on screen. But I found a way around it: don't show any faces! Simple, right? Not hardly, but I'm up for the task. Should be a fun project. And hopefully it'll entice you, Reader, to crack the spine and/or power up your Kindle/Nooks!

I don't have a page count for Second Coming yet, but I do have a word count. There's about 95,000 of them. A bunch of upper and lower cases. And, believe it or not, there are some periods and commas thrown in there, too.

I love gossip. It's amazing how it begins, transforms, and almost seems to come to life, creeping and crawling and slithering its slimy way through people's lives. Sometimes it's about something completely fictitious--a fact that got turned upside down--other times it's about something 100% true.

As in today's case.

Apparently there was an earthquake. I say "apparently" because I'm located in NY, a few states away from the epicenter of this quake, and didn't feel a thing. Yet . . . EVERYONE knows about it!  What's up with that? Furthermore, whats up with the end of the world prophecies? Didn't they get enough from Harold Camping (Hint, hint: He's mentioned in Second Coming, which is in the editorial process right now. Exciting!!!). Guess not. Guess the end really is near!

Hold your breaths!

Could there be a story in this . . . an earthquake that hints at the end of the world? Probably, but this is a lot funnier . . .

Wow, the very first post. Definitely time to celebrate and talk about writing.

I write for a number of reasons, the most important of which is fun! Why do anything if it isn't fun? Sheesh! There are already too many people stuck in dead-end jobs fantasizing about killing their boss or taking a swing from that polka-dotted tie in their closet. (My apologies if that sounds a little dark, but one of my favorite genres to write is horror! Give me a break!!!) Might as well love what you do. And I love writing. And I'm here to share that with you.

I guess that's why I created this blog. To update my fans about my work, post a few short stories and novel excerpts, and just blog about whatever the hell I find interesting. Sounds like a good deal, right?

Stay tuned . . .
